The highest peak, and first to see the sunrise on the Eastern Sea Board. Again, I arrived for sunset to a car park jam packed with cars. Thankfully, a lot of the people there just wanted to view the sun coming up, and just 10 minutes later I pretty much had the place to myself.

The image I have used for the title was part of a panorama of the east, but the image below was more of a southerly view. I just loved the way that the golden light picked up the autumnal colours below the peak, and the small cluster of trees gave a nice bit of foreground interest. I spent a bit of time here before heading back to Bar Harbour and exploring the town for the morning. The afternoon was spent around Bass Harbour Head Lighthouse in the South Eastern corner of the park.
